West Indies vs India, 2nd ODI

Batting first in the second ODI against India, West Indies managed to save a late collapse and put up a modest 241-run target at the the Queen's Park Oval.
Over 50: (West Indies 240/9) That brings us to the end of the West Indies innings. They started off pretty well with Lendl Simmons and Sarwan scoring steady half centuries.
The batting power play once again proved to be disadvantageous to the batting side as the Windies lost some key wickets. By the end of the stipulated 50 overs though, they managed 240 for the loss of nine wickets. The Indians will look to come out and attack the bowling and get on the front foot immediately. They will have to keep an eye out on the weather and make sure they stay ahead of the D/L rate. This promises to be a fascinating contest. Stay with us for the second innings which will begin shortly.
Helped by Lendl Simmons gutsy half-century and Ramnaresh Sarwan's stocky innings, West Indies cruised along in the second one-day international against India at Queen's Park Oval.
After 36th Over: West Indies (175/3) India have finally managed to get rid off dangerous looking Marlon samuels (36 runs of 32 balls) as Yusuf Pathan struck with his last ball of the over. However, the homeside are in relatively commanding position with seven wickets in hand as they go into the final stage of their innings.
Earlier, West Indies have made one change with Kieron Pollard coming in place of Darren Bravo. India are playing the same team it fielded against the Windies in the first ODI.
Having struggled to hold off India in the first ODI, West Indies look for a better performance in the second game on Wednesday.
The batting has not lived up to the expectations while the bowling has been on the improving side, but lacks depth. India, on the other hand, have almost an 'A' side but have tremendous potential. They would not be entirely happy with their performance, especially with the bat and look to improve.
TEAMS
West Indies: LMP Simmons, KA Edwards, MN Samuels, RR Sarwan, DJ Bravo, KA Pollard, CS Baugh†, DJG Sammy
