Samit Patel targets England recall

Nottinghamshire all-rounder Samit Patel insists he would be "disappointed" if he was overlooked for England's limited-overs squads this summer.
The 26-year-old made the last of his 11 ODI appearances in 2008 and has been in exile after failing to respond to England team director Andy Flower's fitness demands.
However Patel has subsequently knuckled down in the last six months and was rewarded with a place in the England Lions team to face Sri Lanka in May.
And having scored a century, left-arm spinner Patel is hoping a call-up to the full squad is now on the horizon.
"It is definitely another chance for me to push my international claims - massively so," he told www.nottsccc.co.uk.
"I would be very disappointed if I didn't make the one-day squads this summer.
"But I know I haven't done enough yet. I need to keep going in the right direction.
"Now I've hit some form, I want to keep it going for as long as I can which can then help me play international cricket."
While Patel is primarily seen as a one-day prospect, he also wants to prove himself capable of a Test spot.
"I have been put down as a one-day cricketer but I don't think my first-class record is shabby either," he said.
"It compares pretty well with others and it's still my ambition to get in the England team across all forms of cricket.
"I just have to get my head down and get on with it and keep scoring the runs. You can't really argue with what was said before. I just have to work hard in the gym and show the right attitude so they can't ask for any more."
